Are you sure it's Ctrl+C that is broken? For me it's Ctrl+V in IGB is what's broken. So I can Ctrl+A Ctrl+C local/cargo/dscan and then have pto RMB+Paste it into aD/evepraisal.

Tearing and proprietary nvidia drivers are an old and common story. Personally I either don't experience it or don't notice it. Not sure. Most likely the latter. But I run it through bumblebee. You should google possible solutions with your pers...
